jms Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 Hi Having read the posts about changing the glow plug,I have had VW ask Quote
chrispb123456 Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 If you have a D5WZ heater with the plug without wires you can fit either plug, if you have the later plug already fitted you will need the piece of loom from an early heater to fit the early plug.Hope that answers your query Quote
jms Posted February 7, 2012 Author Report Posted February 7, 2012 Thanks, I understand that.Have many people actually had the newer plug fitted originally?I`ve been assuming that the older plug without the wires is the one normally found. Quote
chrispb123456 Posted February 8, 2012 Report Posted February 8, 2012 The plug with wires was only fitted from new in the later models of the D5WZ after this the D5Z-F model had wires but a different fitting plug.Only sure way is to remove the controller/cover and see what plug is fitted. Quote
