westonmac Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 i have 215/50/17 fitted to the front and 225/45/17 fitted to the rearnow am not sure what the spare is at this moment but I will check , but the odds are I will be illegal if i have a puncture unless am carrying one of each sizeis there any reason why the last owner fitted these odd sizes. i understand its all about the profile so will the 215/50/17 be the best all-round. feed back would be very helpful thanks Quote
Saif Rehman Posted January 21, 2012 Report Posted January 21, 2012 For 17" alloys, the correct tyre and thus correct rolling radius will be 225/45/17 but also make sure that the tyres are reinforced. With regards to why there are different tyres fitted maybe down to that they were bought like that. On my Alfa Romeo 156, i have 205's on the front and 215's on the rear, however, i will be changing them soon so they are all the same. Quote
zorgman Posted January 21, 2012 Report Posted January 21, 2012 wouldnt worry about it as its a spare just use it as long as you keep below 30mph, think runflats, if you want to go the hog spray the middle yellow Quote
