studioworks Posted November 16, 2011 Report Posted November 16, 2011 I came to lock my car yesterday and realised the central locking wasnt working off the drivers door, this was after driving it 10 miles with no fault codes or anything to cause it happening. Since then ive realised not only is the central locking not working off the drivers door but it is not working off the book lock either, the trip computer resets itself every time the ignition is turned off and even though the heater works the buttons for the AC, rear heater and recirclualting do not work, also i dont think the from window defrost button is working as i can not hear a relay clicking when i press it like i can for the rear. Ive tried searching and found references to the 3 AMP fuse for the mfu which i have now replaced but still no luck. Hopefully someone might of had the same before. Quote
Caff Posted November 16, 2011 Report Posted November 16, 2011 Not sure how to link but I posted something similar a while ago titled "Clock, Trip, Heater And Drivers Door Not Working" The solution was to check every fuse. I don't know which fuse was the culprit but remember that it was marked "engine management" in the user manual. Caff Quote
studioworks Posted November 17, 2011 Author Report Posted November 17, 2011 Zorgman - sorry it's a mk2 galaxy tdi. Caff - I think it was your thread I found after posting this one, it was the same problem as you had, found fuse 32 had blown this morning. Still seems a very random set of symptoms from one fuse but main thing is it's all back to normal. Quote

Caff Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 That's great. I'm glad you've been able to post which fuse it was too. Much easier to sort out than checking every fuse. Quote
Staceh Posted November 18, 2011 Report Posted November 18, 2011 Same symptoms, fuse 32 to blame. Thank you very much, nice easy fix for a change. Quote
