ExTesco Posted October 17, 2011 Report Posted October 17, 2011 What is the process for changing the warning light bulbs within the dashboard cluster?Galaxy zetec 2.0 tdci 07 plate. Thanks Quote
Mirez Posted October 17, 2011 Report Posted October 17, 2011 Whats failed? Most, if not all, modern cars use LED's for the dashboard lighting so it's highly unlikely to have failed in the cluster itself. Quote
ExTesco Posted October 22, 2011 Author Report Posted October 22, 2011 Nothing failed, there is a warning light on that the MOT man will fail me for, I will get it sorted but cannot before the test, so I want to remove the bulb so it is not showing then put it back after the MOT. Thanks Quote

Thanks Ahh, well again its probably LED so you wont be able to just remove it - also most MoT stations are wise to that and part of the check is to ensure certain warning lights illuminate briefly during ignition on. buford_t_justice Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 The ABS light is part of the MOT test and will need to function correctly to pass!!! +1 When the new MOT requirements come into force in January 2012, safety systems such as ABS and airbags come under greater scrutiny. If the car has these systems fitted, the test requires that the warning lights come on when the key is turned on, and then correctly go off (indicating no faults). If the light doesn't come on when the key is turned, or if the system indicates a fault, this can cause a car to fail the test. Quote
