Mads Posted October 16, 2011 Report Posted October 16, 2011 I have just purchased my 2007 Galaxy with built-in DVD Multimedia system including two flat screens in headrests. Upon start-up the screens are displaying "Keycode locked" followed by the serial number. Also - when trying to insert a DVD in the player it is not pulled into the unit as expected. Is this normal and how do I unlock the system? As you can tell from above I also miss an owners manual. How do I get hold of this? Quote

How do I get hold of this? can you use the c-d radio or is that key code locked, i know that i cant use the rear dvd unless the radio is switched on. you may have to enter the cd radio keycode, has the battery been disconnected. sorry not to helpful but I tried. Mads Posted October 17, 2011 Author Report Posted October 17, 2011 Yes I can use the radio without problems but I was not aware that the DVD system in any way was connected to the radio and navigation system which is a Travelpilot EX. But I did receive a 4-digit code with the manuals, however not sure how to enter this on the radio since I am also missing the correct manual for my Travelpilot? Quote
Mirez Posted October 17, 2011 Report Posted October 17, 2011 If the powers been disconnected at any time then it will ask for the keycode. The travelpilots the same so make sure you have the right code for the right unit (you can enter is 3 times before a half hour lock out). If you don't have the remote control for the unit then thats the first problem as you need it to enter the code. Quote
Mads Posted October 17, 2011 Author Report Posted October 17, 2011 I do have a Remote control type RC-82 but this has no numeric keys, only lots of keys with different symbols. Since I have no User manual (how do I get one??) I d Quote

Mads Posted October 17, 2011 Author Report Posted October 17, 2011 Thanks a lot for the user manual and general assistance. However, it turns out that the 4-digit code provided for the radio is not the same for the DVD system. The screen provides the system serial number so I now wonder how to get hold of the correct code? Quote

WessexGalaxy23 Posted January 27, 2018 Report Posted January 27, 2018 I also have same model galaxy and same screen DVD system, unfortunately my appears completely dead.I recently purchased a brand new remote from ford for £44.00 inc vat .Fuse on back of radio travel pilot ex is ok, need to trace which colour the power wires are to the DVD player so I can check for breaks in the wiring loom.Should the DVD player under the seat have a fuse in the back of it, does anyone have a picture of the back of their working system so I can compare wiring and plugs in back of unit? Also someone mentions about a DVD control unit? If this is correct Where is this located and what does it look like so I can check it for power.I have downloaded the manual but it dosnt say which fuse(s).In ford car owners manual it states fuse is in back fusebox in boot but this space is empty with no fuse? But a recent ford tech mentioned their are 2 fuses for this system.Does anyone know the fuse locations and reference numbers for this system? Thanks Quote
