gav5ter Posted October 1, 2011 Report Posted October 1, 2011 hi my cars a nightmare just had turbo replaced on way to mot starts chucking out smoke at first was a lot looked like i was on fire lol then after running up nd down a bypass smokes died down a bit when its ticking over or reving at a standstill no smoke when i pull away in 1st gear blue smoke starts again when i get into top gear seems to more or less stop smoking not losing oil wondered if its left over oil in the intercooler although i did clean it out before new turbo was fitted any one had the same or have any ideas would be pleased to hear from yacheers gav :( Quote
zorgman Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 its the oil left in exhaust just done mine and exact the same, have you changed oil and filter, did you check your air filter, you find when the turbo kicks in the exhaust gets hotter so it burns oil off, i had flames outa my pipes just last week Quote
