paulh Posted September 27, 2011 Report Posted September 27, 2011 My 05 1.9 PD has developed an intermettent starting fault. She starts OK from cold, not instant but always starts after a bit of cranking. Glowplugs have been tested and are ok.Ususally starts on the click when hot, however if I leave her for more than about 15 minutes it will not start. The engine turns and turns at a good speed (faster than when cold) but will not go. Leave it another 15 mins or so and it starts on the turn of the key again. I've changed relay 109 and thats made no difference so I'm thinking its somethng temperature related. I've read a few posts where people have changed an engine temp sender and its cured their problems. Whereabouts is this located on the PD and does anyone have the part no (preferably vw)? Thanks very much in advance Quote
