Dab Car Radio Query?

I have a Sony DAB radio / cd in my 2010 Gal (maybe should have posted this in the Mklll forum)

 

Anyway, i was wondering if anyone could answer this question

 

Last year when i was driving in the USA, i hired a ford that had a DAB radio in it

 

When listening to radio stations, the display would show Artist, Song and Album of the tune that was playing at the time

 

Now my DAB unit in the Gal is great on showing ipod / cd track names and artists, but the DAB radio just shows the Station name

 

Is it possible yet in the UK, to get artists and/or track names on the Sony DAB unit, as fitted to new Fords??

I cannot answer if DAB has the info in the UK as in the states, but I guess its down to the radio its self, but I have just been to look

at my analogue radio in my van and that displays the info you are talking about (its a Pioneer radio)

it depends on the station provider. i use a pure dab unit and some stations show the info you want others dont
