renegade802 Posted July 24, 2011 Report Posted July 24, 2011 Hi all. this is my first time posting so i hope ive done it right. ive got a 1999 galaxy 1.9tdi (110bhp) and the problem is it starts first flick of the key when the engine is cold but when the engine is warm it turns over for 5-10 seconds before it fires. has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know how to resolve it thanks Quote
chrispb123456 Posted July 24, 2011 Report Posted July 24, 2011 Hi and welcome to the forumMaybe air entering the system or faulty relay 109, or faulty stop solenoid.Could be worth checking with Vagcom first as you may have a fault code present. Quote

renegade802 Posted August 3, 2011 Author Report Posted August 3, 2011 Hi i bought a vag-com off ebay and plugged it in. there was 2 fault codes recorded so i pressed save codes and then cleared the codes and now i cant remember wha the codes were or find where they are saved too. if i run the car for a few miles will the codes be recorded again because i haven't repaired the fault??? or has anyone got any ideas where to find the saved codes Quote
SilverBeast Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 C:\Program Files\VAG-COM\Logs I think that's the default. Alternatively open Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer), Right Click on the C:\ drive and then "Search" for "DTC-01.txt" which I think is the log file it would have created. Quote
renegade802 Posted August 4, 2011 Author Report Posted August 4, 2011 Thanks ive found it where u said. the codes were 17795 - Internal Control Module MalfunctionP1387 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent and00771 - Fuel Level Sensor (G)30-10 - Open or Short to Plus - Intermittent im assuming the fuel level sensor is my fuel gauge am i right??? if so i have not had any problems with it so this could be an old fault code that has not been cleared. as to the internal control module has anyone got any ideas wha it is and if this could be causing the warm start problems?????? renegade802 Posted August 5, 2011 Author Report Posted August 5, 2011 I was talking to a friend today about the problem and he suggested the crank sensor could be my problem. Does anyone else think this could be the case and if it is why is there no fault code logged on vag-com thanks Quote
Guest Aarongalaxy90tdi Posted August 5, 2011 Report Posted August 5, 2011 where is the crank sensor located? Quote
