rusself Posted July 3, 2011 Report Posted July 3, 2011 there is a yellow and orange wire on my windows (that don't work) on testing this wire has no power at all in it can someone please tell me what the wire is for and maybe how to fix it ? cant find the fault HELP thanx guys Quote

cyborg Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 Hi there, The Loom going to the door is the same on all however the connections differ for lx,glx,zetec,ghia,x etc some have door lights,electric passenger windoes electric wing mirrors etc. Now and then haynes gets the colours for loom wrong this is one of those occasions as far as i can tell .Is there anything not working ? Thats got that out of the way now did you establish whether the red wire (feed) to fuse 71 is live or not? Red and yellow should be the supply from fuse 71 through to door switch. Quote

chrispb123456 Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 Just for reference maxi fuse layout on level 3.I know you said you had checked wiring on door gaiters for breakages, the breaks are not always apparent the core may be broken leaving the insulation intact. Quote
