Mirez Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Clear them, take it for a drive and then repost. You don't know how old those codes are at the moment! Quote
sam Posted July 1, 2011 Author Report Posted July 1, 2011 I have done that it still says the same? Quote
Mirez Posted July 2, 2011 Report Posted July 2, 2011 Make sure you are clearing them properly, the immobiliser one for instance wouldn't have come back unless the key doesn't match, which wouldn't let you start the car.... The engine codes: 01237 - Fuel Cut-off Valve - N109; mechanical malfunction00553 - Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70) 00527 - Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor (G72) All three of them will cause loss of power, replace the MAF and MAP sensors will fix the last two. If you are sure you have properly reset the codes then you'll need to look at replacing N109 as well. Quote
sam Posted July 2, 2011 Author Report Posted July 2, 2011 how do i find that 01237 - Fuel Cut-off Valve - N109; mechanical malfunction? Quote
chrispb123456 Posted July 2, 2011 Report Posted July 2, 2011 how do i find that 01237 - Fuel Cut-off Valve - N109; mechanical malfunction?Fuel cut off valve is located on fuel injection pump Quote
sam Posted July 2, 2011 Author Report Posted July 2, 2011 That is very helpful hope I can get a chance to look tonight. Quote
cprob Posted July 3, 2011 Report Posted July 3, 2011 Mirez - Is the MAP sensor not inside the ECU on this car? And not available separately? Regarding the 65535 fault code, I had this and it turned out to be a hole in the small rubber pipe inside the ECU. Cheers,Robin. Quote
sam Posted July 3, 2011 Author Report Posted July 3, 2011 I no you can get it separate it comes straight of the air box. If that is correct. Quote
Mirez Posted July 3, 2011 Report Posted July 3, 2011 (edited) Thats the MAF senspr thats on the pipe out of the airbox/ intake. The MAP sensor is in the ECU on Mk1's with a piece of pipe taken from the manifold, on Mk2's its in the upright pipework from intercooler to manifold and also measures intake temperature.
