looops Posted June 23, 2011 Report Posted June 23, 2011 Hi all. 97 Galaxy 2.3 petrol. As the subject says, a rythmical donk .... donk noise from the front, seemingly the centre, when driving or coasting forwards. One of the anti roll bar links is worn and I'm replacing them both tomorrow but wondering if I should be wrestling with other suspension joints while I'm at it? Cheers;Paul. Quote
looops Posted June 23, 2011 Author Report Posted June 23, 2011 I've done most things but not ARB bushes. Looks like a right PITA. Best left to a garage with all that ramp luxury? Quote

cyborg Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Got the spanner, job all lined up for Saturday yay. iirc you use two spanners, one to stop ball rotating 17mm and 17 /18 to undo nut .some drop links use a 7mm allen key to stop ball rotating .I don't think it matters on drop link brand as long as wishbone rubbers are up to scratch and tracking isn't out ... zorgman Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 use a grinder or at least 3 days prior to job spray the nut unit every day to allow to soak thru, falacy about spraying release fluid as you work it needs to soak in Quote
seatkid Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 (edited) You shouldn't have a problem as long as you have enough leverage. One of those telescopic wheel braces with the right size socket on should do the job easily. I think I saw them going for about £7 in the local kwikfit. Edited July 8, 2011 by seatkid Quote
