Hi all, after reading through the forum we discovered that our parking sensors were probably not working due to rear washer leak under passenger seat, removed seat and yes there was a puddle. So repaired the break in the washer cable and removed the knackered ecu for further investigation.

Seat was put back in and felt quite smug that my rear washer now works.

However now i have no electric windows and an Airbag Fault on the dash, guess the secound is from unplugging the seat? so how do I reset it? and have no idea about the windows.

Any ideas?

Window fault seemed to be completely unrelated, was a blown fuse due to damaged wiring in the door jam. So at least that is all fixed now

I had both my front seats out and replaced without any problems, you should make sure the plugs are properly connected then check with Vagcom for any faults stored,

be warned disconnect battery and wait half an hour before messing with wiring as you could deploy airbag system.

Oh dear, yes its all connected back properly, but did not disconnect battery at all (fortunatley no air bags were deployed) so looks like time to invest in vag-com.

Thanks for your help
