Amarok Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 (edited) hi whenever it rains allways end up with water in a front well depending which way car parked? Any ideas thankyou.. wiggy this is a regular problem with the sunroof not just fords !! if you open the sunroof at the front you will see two drain holes one on drivers side and one on passenger side they lead to a pipe which runs down the windscreen pillars and exits in the front wheel arch. As usual the holes get blocked and as the water has nowhere to go it will leak into the cabin. Wire coathanger or airline will clean them out. There are also two drains in the scuttle under the bonnet again same problem blocked with debris water has no where to go but into the car via the pollen filter (on a vauxhall omega I had after a heavy rain shower if you switched on the heater fan it sounded like a paddle steamer !!! splash splash ) I swear the manufacturers build this in ! chrispb123456 Posted May 12, 2011 Report Posted May 12, 2011 Could also be the bonding around windscreen becoming detached. Quote
markev Posted May 12, 2011 Report Posted May 12, 2011 defo go with the sunroof i had the same problem,i would also check under passenger seat the water collects there in the well, think your central locking and elecric windows electric box is under there so if it gets wet it could cause the windows to open and shut on own accord Quote
