Amarok Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 After a google for Galaxy Fuel Filter I came across this garage site recounting a poor running Petrol Galaxy Here is the filter underneath the car http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o192/Amarokuk/Galaxyfilterundercar.jpg this is what came out when removed http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o192/Amarokuk/Galaxyfuelpour.jpg this was the state of the internal filter http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o192/Amarokuk/galaxyfilterdirty.jpg finally a new filter, worth changing don't you think ?? http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o192/Amarokuk/Galaxyfuelfilters.jpg Quote
Mirez Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 I should say so! I'm always amazed by how many people (and garages) skimp on servicing and dont change filters like this. Noticeable difference? Quote
chrispb123456 Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 Nice pics Amarok ;) It's surprising how many don't realise it's there in that position, I suppose to reduce possible risks of fire in a front end collision ;) Quote
v6mikey Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 I changed mine last year when I bought the car. It looked just like yours, although I never opened it up. I thought then that it hadn't been changed for a long time. I always get a sense of satisfaction when you remove the old crap filters and put nice new ones on. Quote
Argrdnr Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 Bringing an old post back to life here, What do you use to clamp the fuel lines? Is there any special tool required? Quote
