Multifunction Module?

Hi, I have a Galaxy 1.9 TDI 53 reg. I've had problems with the central locking, an auto electrician told me that it's the multifunction module that needs replaced. They said it used to be under the passenger seat in older models but mine is behind the steering wheel? I've spoken to a Ford dismantler and they have some used ones but I can't locate it. Does anyone know how we get to it to get the parts number from it? Also after reading some other posts on here it seems the door wiring will need checked, how do I get the door jams off? do they twist? Don't want to cause more damage in the process.

 

Any help would be much appreciated
