Stilling Lost Power

i intermittently loses top power and its doing my head in as i loved the galaxy alot of time it drops back until around 50 from 70 you turn the engine off and on again you get back for a while , i have change the air flow metre ,turbo working , block egr off , change diesel pump with the fault still here ,now i been looking on here could it be a relay breaking down or Intank fuel pump . please please help if you can as running out of adeas

Can you be more specific, 1.9TDI is not enough is it MK 1 or MK 2 engine code. AHU, AFN, ANU, AUY, ASZ, ARL which one?

hi chris its a r reg mark 1 .19tdi with a 1z engine i ,have had it on 3 times on 3 machines and all came back with no faults its doing my head but i do love galaxy cars they are a all round great car .

Hi there

Thats the 90 BHP engine, have you done the basics eg, fuel filter, air filter. You don't have an intank pump on this model the fuel injection pump draws the fuel up so be certain to check all flexible hoses for tightness on pump and filter housing, also check for O rings missing from the plastic T connector on fuel filter, as air drawn in will cause starting and running problems

i have got a similiar problem , mine lost power and smoked and then onced left was ok ! and now dont start ?
