hi ive got a 6000 rds i know what is the plugs for the power and speakers , but ive got a green square plug in the back of my unit with a fuse on it , i dont have a cd changer anywhere , also theres a yellow 1 wire plug inbetween my speaker and power plug , my gal doesnt have remote volume either , ive no idea what the 2 extra plugs are 4 :)

The square one with the fuse on it is deffinately the CD changer cable, you may have had one in the past and someones removed it. Check in the storage compartment in the rear (drivers side) and see if there is a grommet in the bottom. If there is then the cable would have been there (check under that its not been pulled out).

 

The yellow plug carries remote control, telephone controls and VSS. On the Galaxy only the VSS cable is used (hence the one wire) and it basically tells the radio how fast you are going. As you increase speed the radio's volume slowly turns up to compensate for the increase in road noise - if its set correctly (option in level 2 menu) then you shouldn't detect it unless rapidly accelerating/braking.

Glad you shed some info on that I thought I was going mad and imagining the stereo volume going up and down when driving and slowing etc

Best cancel that doctors appt ^_^
