Can anyone tell me if the 409.1 software will reset the aux heater,on my 99 Sharan Tdi,if not what do I need to by.Any help would be appreciated

Have a read in the FAQ's - I think that you don't need VAG COm to reset the Aux heater. If it has a problem it will lock out after a number ( I think & of flameouts). If there is a fault such as the glow plug - once replaced the aux heater will start up automatically. Basically you need to fix a fault - not clear it.

the 99 tdi uses a d3wz heater and is auto resetting the diagnostics wire isnt connected up to main cor diagnostics, so just turning ign off resets it.

its the mk2 from aug2000 that uses the d5wz which has to be reset. theres masses of info on here bout them ive even posted the instructions from erbspacher about these heaters, whats going on with it as ive got right into these an been buying them at scrappys to refurb and flog on ebay
