I know, bit late now :o .Stealer unhelpful, theres a shock!,all uphill legally now! Did not say clearly in post vehicle is 1.9 TDI Se Auto Alhambra Sorry!, Could it be possible that they (stealers) did not assign/link clocks to vehicle???.I am mistified to what they did to warrant changing the clocks, I know there is going to be more to find :o Any more thoughts guy's? Guest TDIBULL Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 Thanks Zorgman,Went rooting today check/clean EGR, only to find it was very clean,so clean it could be new :o ,no VAG numbers etc in fact no markings at all, looks like thats been changed as well, why I dont know.Metal pipe that EGR connects to was full of gloop, which I have now cleaned out.Vehicle seems a small bit better now on the road, but when you are stopped and put it into park it starts chuttering for want of a better word, then ok when back into drive. Maybe wiring loom in engine bay? Good job there is lots of room to see :o Have used another car to verify true speed as well as sat-nav: indicated 40 mph = 63 mph @ an indicated 2100rpm in 4th gear (4 speed Auto) on a flat road, not good if herself is driving :o. dont remember gear changes to be as vauge as they are now,as if its holding on in the gears, vehicle revs up and down by 100 rpm at all driving speeds at aprox every 6 seconds ;) Any more Ideas???Thanks again Quote
zorgman Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 wrong clocks have been fitted to car by sounds your car is romping if i was you go back to stealers park car right in front of garage or entrance get manager out and blast him tell him u being stopped by police for speeding and its thier fault lay it on thick, the romping is caused by ecu not set up proper mine done it when i fitted bigger injectors in engine and i had to mess with ecu to stop it. did they fit new injectors if so 110hp into 90hp would cause the fault.at end of day the stealers have got your shirt off and sniffing your trousers (got your shirt off back and your pants down) i would really get on to them sending a car out in that state its illigal as your only allowed a max 10% of speed deviation on clocks so your car is in fact dangerous, cant see it passing emmisions either if its romping u need a diagnostics check on it. if you lived near sunderland id do it for you free as i hate main dealers, the only people ive met that know what you talking about is the old bloke that works in parts at both ford and vw as when i got started on gals/shazzas i had some odds and nds to sort and old bloke new more than "" vehicle technician"" Quote

"Vehicle Technician"?? ;) as in workshop manager says change this, then that, and if that fails Lie / blame the customer etc ;) I will keep looking and try Diagnostics elsewhere, So far: VW 0, Seat 0, even a ford dealer just on the offchance, he said MAF fault :angry2: :angry2: It wasn't they had a faulty lead  .CC display has started to flash on start up now, probably didn't re-gas properly!Stealers don't want to know now I have taken the legal route!Have a letter from VW stating that ALL parts supplied by them, even if not fitted by them have a min 1 year warranty, Good ? No your problem is with the dealership!!!!. Have to be carefull what I say, so thanks again Zorgman. Quote
