Galaxy Rear Wiper

Hi Galaxy experts,

My rear wiper on my Mk1 2000 V reg TDi stopped working. I suspected a broken wire in the rubber trunking between the rear door (top right) and the body. There was a broken green and black wire coming from the door that ended in black electrical tape and inside there was evidence of a soldering job. Strangely there was no evidence of the other end of this wire leading back into the body?! Can anyone confirm that this is the wire from the wiper motor in the rear door?

3 wires go to the motor green/black, black/yellow, brown is earth

The green/black being the supply, the black/yellow being the trigger.

Point to note is that the wiring colours change at the plug to the motor so make sure you use the chassis side if you are continuity testing!

So my broken black-green is the supply. What I can't understand is where the other broken end of the wire is??

Maybe I'll just take it to a garage.

It'll have gone back into the chassis side of the vehicle, you'll need to remove the D pillar cover from the near side and you'll find the wiring loom running up there - It should be easy enough to find - has the fuse not popped? Suprised if its not shorting out back there!
