Automatic Gearbox

My Galaxy Automatic engages in all forward gears . When putting it in reverse, the reversing lights come on, but it does not go into gear, any ideas what the problem might be ?

Fluid level plays a vital part in correct gear engagement, you can do a search for checking level as it is not a simple task. Vag-Com check could help there may be some fault codes stored, stop light switches also known to cause problems
