Tow Bar Wiring Kits And Vag.com 2005 Tdi

I've had a quick read of related posts and I plan to fit a tow bar soon and am now looking at the wiring kits specific to my car.

For my 2005 TDi (150BHP) I have found this kit listed by towequipe

Just to say my parking sensors are unaffected by the towbar.

 

Mines only affected when trailers on, I then just cancel the beep with the button on the dash, cant help you with the proper wiring kit using the second indicator warning light, I have the buzzer for indicator warning and relay kit to protect bulb failure relay.

i fitted one of the kits only a couple of months ago and had no problems with it. very easy unplug the connectors going to the light clusters,then plug into the kit and then plug the other end of the kit back into the light cluster. sort of piggy back style.

ok thanks now need to decided whether to go for the euro 13 pin and have a 12n adapter to make future proof although no plan to buy a mobile shed.

Why is the 13 pin for a ford so expensive compared to the Sharan 13 pin option as bith seem to cover 2005 cars? Also several 7 pin options?

Anyone got one and if so which one?

Can anyone help as still not sorted out which kit will work with my 2005 Gal with parking sensors? towequippe dont know which is best?

Anyone got their part numbers foe a kit known to work on a late MK2 Gal TDI
