icecoolpsycho Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 This seems like an obvious problem. Just need someone to agree Get up in the morning. Nice and cold outside. Car completely cold. Turn key to ignition and Temperature gauge goes straight to MAX with flashing light.Stays there all the time. Fans working okay. Everything else sounds okay. Coolant in expansion tank is not overley hot after a short journey. Do you think the Temp sender unit thing is faulty? Quote
mikej Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 I think i would be tempted to check the connection at the actual sensor first, not quite sure where it is on yours but this happened on a other car of mine when the wire came off and shorted to the block, reconnecting it sorted problem. Just a thought but maybe worth a look. :46: Quote
