spooky1067 Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 Hi all, Any know how to code the key.I replaced the battery because the buttons weren't unlocking the car.New battery done the trick to unlock but when i went to start the car it engine just cuts out.I got the master key which will start it.I tried coding the key the way the hand book says but with no luck.Anyone had this happen to them? chrispb123456 Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 Hi thereWhats happened is the transponder chip has fell out when you took the key apart, look very carefully where you were changing battery's you may find it on the floor/ground if you're lucky, it looks like a small piece of plastic about 10mm long 5mm wide 2mm thick same colour as fob.
