Hi all,

just a thought, to all those with the lovely aux booster heater, i run mine in winter with a micro fuse bridging the terminals so i runs all the time , however a few years ago when cold weather came it wouldnt start up i got it going by belting it with a rubber mallet.

anyway now, in the middle of August i replace the mini fuse and see see if it starts up, i run it to give it a good blow out, then when winter comes hoepfully it will start.

Main reason i do it is if it is faulty you can fix it in the good weather and light nights rather than on your knees in the freezing cold and rain.

Here here, it's good to hear positive remarks about the booster heater and not just wanting to disconnect it because they are having a problem with it.

Just to add what you said about bridging the sensor connector with a fuse you could add a switch in the bridging and run it back into the car for easier control, I bought a kit for mine so I can run the heater and warm the car without the engine running, it has a 7 day timer to control on and off times very useful when you finish work at 2am last thing you want to be doing is scraping the windows at that time :16:

Hi, that sounds like a really good idea chris. would like to do that to mine, think that would be really useful for the winter. I dont suppose you could tell me where you got the kit from and how much for please and was it difficult to fit? thanks.
