new nige Posted August 14, 2010 Report Posted August 14, 2010 I have had a long term turbo problem on a mk1 1.9tdi ahu, got error code 00575, changed hoses and N75 which massively improved (almost solved) the problem, did a long run and still enters limp mode at about 2800-3000 rpm (i.e. resets on ignition). Turbo seems fine when it works and trips when labouring on an up hill acceleration lane at high rpm. I note ross tech suggest turbo as a potential source (after hoses and n75) to the problem but suspect it is ok, as hoses made such a big difference. Any suggestions? Read a little about an additional hose that goes from engine compartment to mcu but believe this is mk2 related (drill hole in mcu controller to relieve pressure build up problems), can anyone confirm? GFUNK1851 Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 have the same problem on my 1.9TDI 1997 and looking at replacing that hose in the BOOSCH ECU behing the dashboard its definatley on the MK1 I have found the box just didn't have the bottle to take it out. Can I ask with the hose replacements can you buy a kit or did you have to get your own and cut to fit? I wonder if mine may also be down to hoses like yours mine is very intermittent generally around 2800-3000rpm and always on motorways but not always at the same speed can be anything from 50-80 was that the same on yours? marinabrid Posted November 9, 2010 Report Posted November 9, 2010 we had this trouble a few years ago on our 90hp model, are you still getting the same fault code now you have swopped the n75 and pipes ? also have you made sure the pipes are not crossed in any way i has one on the wrong way round which cured it .there was a vacum pipe diagram for the mk1 90hp on here but it seems to have gone now, or out of curiosity try swopping the pipes over that go to the turbo.
