Mk1 Galaxy 1.9tdi Loss Of Power

Hi all, my galaxy Mk1 is experiencing real loss of power when accelerating. Have run vagcom and its brought this code up:

 

1 Fault Found:

 

00542 - Needle lift Sensor (G80)

 

30-10 - Open or Short to Plus - Intermittent

 

Any ideas what this is, and how it can be fixed? is it an easy job or a pain?

Hi there

iirc needle lift sensor is on number 3 injector, check the wiring around injectors.

Hi all, the cable at the connector to the injector was brittle and it snapped, I have replaced this with some spare cabling and now the car runs perfectly! Many thanks all!
