hi guys im looking at a garage to fit a cambelt and waterpump to my 140,000 51 plate turbo diesel as its due one, been given two prices one being car fitted with cambelt, water pump and a cambelt damper at

so doesnt sound to bad then, a lot of people speak highly of the garage and looks like a pro outfit i just dont want to be conned, hate having to get people to do things to my car that i cant do.

My VW dealer charged me 300 for the cambelt change plus an extra 25 quid to replace the water pump including stamping the book to say it was done so that sounds a lot to me.

also when taking car to back st garage ask if they know how to do dynamic timing if its a tdi upto aug2000 not needed after then as its a pd engine (no injector pump to time up)
