brabbous Posted July 4, 2010 Report Posted July 4, 2010 hello all i have read throught a lot of the posts on here about wiper problems. i have greased up the linkage and been throught the fuse box but cant solve the problem. when you use the wipers the move up 4-6 inches and stop to get them to work now turn ignition off and on again then they will move another 4-6 inches, have to repeat to get the wipers back to stop position. this has only happended in the last 3-4 days. any ideas thank you for your help Quote

The only way to fix this is to dismantle the whole mechanism and clean and re grease the spindle. You might wish to investigate by detaching one of the spindles and see what diference it makes. Then try the other side. Thay way you can be asurred that its the spindle and which side is the culprit. Unfortunately, its likely to take you half a day. You can also change your pollen filter while it's out as it's a bugger to do with it in Quote
