A/c And Servo

Hi all

I have two problems not sure if they are related.

 

1. A/C button only lights up if the fan speed is on 1 or 2 if you turn it to 3 the light goes out,do you think getting it refilled will do the trick ?

 

2. I believe the servo has gone, loud hissing after brake pedal is released, is there a repair kit available or could it be something else.

 

Car running fine otherwise.

Hi there and welcome

Servo diapragm leak you will need to replace servo they are not repairable.

Is the air-con actually working (getting cold) when a/c light is on? having regas may not be linked to having no warning light in no.3 position but having the system checked for leaks and if OK regassed is a must anyway, further checks on the electrical system may be neccessary with the help of code reader or Vag-Com to pin point any faults.
