roy202 Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 Hi all ive got a 1.9 tdi 2001 servo that hisses like mad in the car and i think the time has now come to change it. ive only taken them out without the engine being present in the car at the time. can any one tell me if there is an easy way of changing it or is it a stressful job? and how long it takes? thanks for looking roy Quote
chrispb123456 Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 Hi there.Are you sure it is the servo as there's a lot of vacuum pipes under there that could be leaking'Looks a bit of job as you need to remove EGR valve.I think you need to allow yourself a day as you will be working inside as well as under the bonnet, also if it's manual you need to remove clutch hydraulic pipe from master cylinder.
