Drivers Door Panel And Window

Hello All

 

I need to take my drivers door panel off to look at my electric window which is making a bad noise when going up and down. A while ago it made a big bang and started to make a grinding noise and I have to help it up so it will close.

So can anyone tell me how to take the drivers door panel off, if you have pictures it would be much appreciated. And also is this a common problem with 2001 2.3 Zetec's? To be honest it sounded like something broke but the window worked OK for a few months and now this.

sounds like 1 of the window clamps has come loose,which in turn might mean the the wire has over run/kinked within the plastic spool within the motor housing.

the general consensus on here is that the regulators are not interchangeable between the mk1 and mk2,BUT i do know that the wires are exactly the same size and length,so if you do have to buy another 1 from a scrappy/ebay a mk1 should work fine for the parts you need.
