a11mcr Posted May 9, 2010 Report Posted May 9, 2010 (edited) hi been reading a few of the recent posts and need a bit more help?with ref to the post (5th gear/turbo problem) i have removed the under cover, air intake pipe to the turbo to check the vanes and they seem to be moving ok (do stick somtime) but the question i need answering is about the wastgate actuator? when you say does it feel sticky, should it move by hand? i have took the vacum pipe of and tried blowing/sucking (gone dizzy a few times but nothing moves) also tried moving the arm but have to use a large screwdriver and even then it needs alot of force to move it? should it move alot more freely than that??if anyone could give any good advise i will be under the car for the next hour or so and maybe someone could talk me through a few things my number is 077********* and i will ring you back (save anyone credit or min's)kind regardsmark DO THIS THROUGH THE SAFETY OF THE PM AREA.
