hocky Posted April 6, 2010 Report Posted April 6, 2010 warning light comes on with ignition (CHECK BRAKE PADS) and beeps on 04 ghia that i just bought. the rears look brand new. does this mean its the fronts? or has the the previous owner changed the faulty rears but not reset the warning light? can you manually reset warning light or is it a dianostic machine job? Check the o/s rear first make sure a new wear lead has been plugged in to the loom there is only one indicator on rears the fronts have them on both.Once you have found the fault the light will go out.If you are unable to find a fault at the wheels then you may need Vagcom to pinpoint the fault.
