Hi all,

 

was parking my galaxy up 'its a mk2 2.3 manual petrol' and the gear stick went loose and is now stuck in reverse.

 

cables and selector are moving fine under the bonnet but assume it's the selector that's at fault? has anyone come accross this before?

 

have seen a new ford item on ebay for

it was the selector a bolt had snapped on the internal side of it. wasn't to bad to take off but mean's i have a bolt head sitting in my gear box that i am hoping to fish out with a magnet.

Good luck on getting it out without removing box :lol:

Same bolt snapped on me 2/3 years ago?, could not find/fish it out, so its still in g/box

OUCH!!! no not that bad luckily enough, got a 10mm hole in the bottom and the bolt has kind of plugged it.

used some chemical metal to seal it to get it back and gears all seamed fine driving it home so gonna weld it

soon as i get what i need to convert my mig.
