DazzasGalaxy Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 Thats funny. My wife has been driving the Gal today and had the same problem, I had a look under the car and looks like diesel has been sprayed under the car from the exhaust of the aux heater. Is it easy to change the glow plug? BTW after the event I got the following this evening on the vag com 5 Faults Found:01409 - Repeated Flame-Out 35-00 - -01409 - Shareware Version. big_kev Posted April 5, 2010 Report Posted April 5, 2010 Is there any chance that this problem with my aux heater can cause power loss on acceleration???? NOPE .......No chance what so ever Quote
DazzasGalaxy Posted April 6, 2010 Report Posted April 6, 2010 Thanks I didnt think so but, you never know with cars nowadays. I thought it may possibly alter the pressure in the diesel line and cause the ecu to go into limp mode or something!!!! I have taken the fuse out, (No 12 I think it was), this stopped the smoking, I just wanted to make sure it is ok to continue driving with the fuse out, it isnt going to cause any other damage is it? Taking the fuse out does this stop the diesel supply to the heater, I hope so! Cheers Dazza Quote
