Hi guys

Had some probs with booster heater before and was fixed and reset with vagcom.

Noticed today on a short trip that the booster heater came on but the temp according to dash was 12.5 degrees.

Was only a short trip and engine was stone cold but was wondering if anyone else's comes on over 12.5 degrees and is this normal as the car hadn't been used all day.

Cheers

Hi there firstly there's no link between the outside air temp guage on the dash that sensor is behind front bumper.

The booster heater outside air sensor switch is suppose to operate between 5 and 10 deg C and its located on the right hand side of the wiper linkage.

I have had the same where heater comes on at a higher temperature than 10 deg C. Nothing to worry about. :(
