Starting Problem!

Hi Guys,

Just purchased a 2009 2ltre Galaxy tdci galaxy. Arrived friday. Tried starting it today and it just would'nt work. The engines not ticking or anything. Called the A*, checked the battery, starter motor, fuses, immobiliser and no problems at all. Although the A* man said the key fob immobiliser is working fine he still suspects it may be an issue with the immobiliser.

 

Since then i have tried disconnecting the battery thinking it may be a system problem but no luck.

 

Ford will be collecting the car in a few days but i really cant afford to go without a car till Wednesday.

 

Would anyone be able to shed some light as to what the issue may be?

did you buy this from fords????or another dealer???

if so LOSE YOUR RAG with them,and say this is not good enough,DEMAND a curtosey car and you want it pronto.

if not from a dealer you have my sympathy's.

not bad eh.2 days with a newish car. :)

Hi just a thought has this model got the emergency fuel shut off? may need the button pushing back if it has, check in the handbook
