dave030445 Posted February 28, 2010 Report Posted February 28, 2010 hi all bit of a tricky one.Just fitted aftermarket remote locking kit, and it can close the windows when locked. Does any one know the colour of the wire, that you have to use to close the windows.cheers dave Quote
zorgman Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 seem to remember its not a singke wire on them unless you have global closing unit, check by locking door and keep it in lock position should put window up also puts on double locking, if it has global ill get you the wire code what year petrol diesel etc needed Quote
dave030445 Posted March 9, 2010 Author Report Posted March 9, 2010 thanks for that yes it has got global closing its a 2.8v6 ghia x p reg 1997 petrol manualcheers dave Quote
zorgman Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 ill check circuit diagrams for u itll be the wire coming off the switch that you need which will end up at comfort control under passenger seat, thats best place to mount unit as everything you want is there but make sure that its mounted high up or on top of unit incase it gets wet Quote
dave030445 Posted March 10, 2010 Author Report Posted March 10, 2010 hi thanks the wire that comes out of the unit for the closeing of the windows, is a negitive swiched on for about 20 secs on locking, hope this is ok to use. Quote
dave030445 Posted March 16, 2010 Author Report Posted March 16, 2010 hi can anyone help cheers dave Quote
Mirez Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 (edited) A quick look would suggest its positive switched on the earlier cars, so you'll need to use your negative switched output to drive a relay. Â Route your supply through a 10amp fuse and put it onto either pin 8 or 9 of C230 (Central Locking / Theft Module - Below passenger seat RHD) - both are .5 (ie small) cables. Â Pin 8 is Grey from the passenger door lock and tailgate switch.Pin 9 is Green from the drivers lock. Â Holding either of these high (ie 12v) should trigger global closing but it'll be easy to test that with a volt meter first :25: Edited March 16, 2010 by Mirez Quote
dave030445 Posted March 16, 2010 Author Report Posted March 16, 2010 thanks for that.Oh god thats sounds tricky, can you tell me how to connect it up the relay, i mean a idiots guide would be good. Quote

dave030445 Posted March 18, 2010 Author Report Posted March 18, 2010 hi thanks for that worked great, just one thing the unlocking signal is on for to long 4secs. Which is enoth to open the window about half way, any thing i can use to cut this down to about 1 to 2 seconds as its not good, having all 4 windows open when its pouring with rain. cheers dave Quote

What alarm is it? Quote
