Hi there I just joined and need help! I've just brought a 2002 1.9tdi and i only have one key and it's not a remote fob so i have to unlock the doors etc with the key. Does anyone know where i can get a new remote fob and get it programmed?? Please help!! Thanks

ebay for the key, get it cut and programmed to the immobilizer (if you have one) by an alarm specialist and read the FAQs at the top of the tech section for the method of programming the central locking.

Thanks for the info im ebaying one as i type!!! I've now also got the dreaded loss of power and limp mode activation at around 45-50 mph in garage tomorrow hoping its just the MAF!

Don't condemn the MAF too soon. Try disconnecting it first, you should notice a severe loss of power. As far as I know MAFs do not cause the limp home state to occur so I think you should be looking elsewhere. Give it a day or so and wait for some more informed replies. If you've just got this car you have probably inherited the reason the previous owner sold it so it is probably nothing obvious.

You really need to get the car scanned for codes. Better still, buy a cable from ebay for about a tenner. Any kkl cable should do.

Im still trying to sort my limp mode problem. Cleaned my air intake 2 weeks ago and what a B"
