Hi All, Brake problem has been resolved, however I still have a lack of power. So far I have replaced all the small vacuum hoses to everything I have also replaced the Maf but still no good. I do get boost more than I used to but its still not consistent ( I normally get it when I dont need it). When I do get boost the engine will rev to 3000 rpm with lots of pull but then it hits 3000 rpm and its like someone has turned off a switch and I lose power. Something that is different to other threads that I have read is that when other people lose power turning the engine off and then on again resets the power, however this does not happen on my Galaxy. On the front of my engine I have noticed a white filter on the engine breather pipe I think, it looks full off gunk black oil, could this affect boost? Any thoughts would again be appriciated, Westytwo aka clutching at straws / pulling hair out!!!!

not sure what hp engine you have but get your ecu read also did you change the pipe inside the ecu as that pipe goes sticky internally so when vacum applied sucks in and sticks together slowly releases after shoet while. ecu behind your clocks easy to work on once out your map sensor is there as well.

your describing a fault my mate had and thats how we fixed it

Engine is 110 bhp the car is 99. Is the pipe that goes to the ECU the one that runs down the left or right hand side of the bulkhead as you stand at the front of it? Is the ecu behind the instument panel clocks? thanks for your input.
