big blue Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 If possible can some nice people point me in the right direction. I am wanting to remove the cylinder head from a w plate (2000) diesel 110 non PD engine.I need to lock the the crank shaft pully + injection pump + camshaft.I have seen several locking tools for the camshaft but most of them say they are for the PD engine and they all look the same .Is there a differance between the locking tools for PD and Non PD engines, or is there a kit that has all the bits i need. Many thanks Big Blue Quote
studsmassive Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 i did not use a kit when i did my timing belt i was able to use a drill bit for pump and that was it i did not lock cam was very careful but if you realy want to get a piece of iron bar it will be alot cheaper Quote
zorgman Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 hibit flat plate for the end of cam, the pump you can use a bolt or drill bit etc. As for the crank time the car up on the timing mark and dont touch after that whatever you do Dont take the crankshaft bolt off thats the 19mm by memory as its a one use stretch bolt just take off the big pully by the 4 allen keys Quote
