cams33 Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 Hi there I have recently experienced the old blown joint in the passenger side footwell from the rear wash pipe. unfortunatly it seems to have killed the PDC unit as well. I am sourcing a replacement module at the minute and am wondering if it is a matter of plugging it in and all will be well again or can it have damaged the sensors as well? I noticed the light flashing for the parking sensors on the dash but now will not light at all. Is this unit fuse protected? This is on a 2003 Alhambra with front and rear parking sensors. Quote

The same thing has happened two me today with my 04 Sharan 2 inch of water I have dryed the footwell and taken the pdc out and dryed that as well I thought I may get some power back even if it was the orange light on the dash but nothing I have looked for a fuse but can't find one can somone please post a reply to help me and cams33 I don't want to purchase a new unit if it is just a fuse Quote
Mirez Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 Two fuses, one primary that will turn if off entirely: F2 - 10Amp - Main Supply and one secondary that will stop it auto-engaging: F5 - 15Amp - Reverse Light Supply Both look after multiple circuits though so if everything else is working then it's unlikely to be a fuse. yaya Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Same case here...pulled everything out, cleaned the corrosion off the circuit board, dried it all and now the sensors are working again. Still need to let the lining dry and make sure the pipe is not clogged or otherwise it'll happen again... Placing that box under the seat seems to be such an after thought... Quote
