chromedome Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 What vehicle do you have. If diesel, read posts about the aux heater which is fitted to help the engine get up to temperature because the engine is so efficient it cannot generate enough heat on it's own. Quote

Floydey Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 My Mk2 1.9tdi has not blown warm air for the last three days despite the fact the engine seems to warm up much faster than normal. I suspect a blockage, even frozen pipes somewhere. Anyone got a nice warm room I can put my Gal in for a few hours to warm her up an defrost her? Quote

It turned out to be the impellor problem in the water pump. The impellor had as is normal fallen off, and could not pump water to the heater system. Eventually (after a few days) the car started to overheat and a new water pump was required. I think you may find you have the same problem Quote
