Front Wipers

hi i have galaxy 2001 2.3lx front wipers go up but dont return unless heavy rain, its as though not enough power in motor to pull them back down,is this the begining of wiper motor failure,or linkage seizure, thanks.

As above, time to remove your linkage, clean and regrease.... :)

yep strip down and grease but...i just come back from italy ive down all of that it was so hot wipers would go up and stop!!!on way down to italy it rained wipers were working but i think the motor on the gal are not very strong they are very large wipers and blades so alot of friction..

Hi I recently had the same problem and yesterday i decided to remove the linkage and investigate, the o/s spindal was that seized that i had difficulty in removing it from the linkage, i did find buy putting a little wonder wheels cleaning acid around the spindal it dissolved the rust/calcium build up which allowed me to remove the spindal, after cleaning and regreasing the shafts and refitting it worked as new,

I am having problems with my front wipers also,the linkages were seized and have replaced the motor.Just got to put the assembly back .
