Kevin Allen Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 I cannot get her started. I had trouble with her cutting out while driving. The symptons was as though there was an ignition fault. I plugged in my gismo that tells you the fault code it only said cannot find link. After approxiamately 15 minutes the engine started ok and the gismo said no faults. This happened twice in one day. the following day she wouldn't start at all. called the RAC who said scratching his head the fault is proberly the ECU Had the ECU tested all ok gismo still reads not linking changed one of the coils because I had a weak spark retried and found the petrol pump not running traced wiring to find the earth wire feeding the pump coil not activated by the ECU checked for an earth fault all ok checked supplies to the ECU permanent live and ignition switch lives all ok Has any body got any ideas of what could be the fault I would be most grateful many thanks Kev ........ frogeye Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 Hi KevWhats the LED in the drivers door showing (ie is it flashing?) when all this is happening. May be Relay 30 playing up - excellent link for this in the FAQ section. The only major issue I had with my N-reg 2.0l was a faulty MAF sensor, just unplug it and see it things improve. Frogeye Quote
