viking Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 My Sharan TDI 90ps AHU had a similar problem. The pipe had cracked at the screw hole lug and leaked a little oil. I just replaced the pipe complete with a new '0' ring. The part came with 2 new screws plus '0' ring. Before re-fitting I made sure the mating face on the block was clean and torqed up the screws to 25Nm (18.45 lb/ft) . I had no further issues with it. f0ster Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 I made a new one with plumbers fittings, 3/8 bsp elbow, 15mm copper pipe I had spare with a couple of bends made with plumbers pipe bending spring Quote
Scorpiorefugee Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 (edited) F0ster, Impressive! 15mm copper tube is useful stuff. I rebushed my wiper rack with that 90,000 miles ago. Still going! I wonder if there's any more uses out there. Edited December 8, 2008 by Scorpiorefugee Quote
