Ahu Tdi Oil Feed Pipe

i have a alambra tdi with the 90bhp engine and it has a black oil feed or breather that comes from the botom of the engine to the top , it bols on with 2 hex bolts , mine had cracked and was leaking quite bad so i bought another but the dam thing is still leaking from the same point , it has an o ring on it but it still leaks

has anyone else had the same?? ;)

My Sharan TDI 90ps AHU had a similar problem. The pipe had cracked at the screw hole lug and leaked a little oil. I just replaced the pipe complete with a new '0' ring. The part came with 2 new screws plus '0' ring.

Before re-fitting I made sure the mating face on the block was clean and torqed up the screws to 25Nm (18.45 lb/ft) . I had no further issues with it.

I made a new one with plumbers fittings, 3/8 bsp elbow, 15mm copper pipe I had spare with a couple of bends made with plumbers pipe bending spring

15mm copper tube is useful stuff. I rebushed my wiper rack with that 90,000 miles ago. Still going!

 

I wonder if there's any more uses out there.
