well, reading the other posts..he said hed be keeping it a year.... its not been 4 months yet...

any problem with the rear quarter window? the attempted but now not a break in attempt? but is now a seized motor that set off the alarm and was open slightly?

Hi there,

Somebody has tried to gain entry to my Galaxy through the rear quarter window. The alarm was triggered (message displayed) and now the rear quarter window will not operate. Does anybody know if there is some kind of reset for the window. It is not fully closed. Luckily no damage was done to the surrounding paintwork or window. I guess i could be looking at new motor for it though if i cant sort it.

I dont recall stating that i would be keeping if for a year? Do i have to keep it for a year?

Yes, thought that the rear window had been broken into, but obviously relieved that the motor was diagnosed as faulty and replaced.

Car HP clear, have original bill of sale showing cash sale.

think maz was refering to this post

Are there any Options that you wish you had ordered in hindsight. I will be changing my MKIII for another after a year and would like to know how owners are getting on with different options.

whilst your reasons for selling are your own business 10k is a big hit for 4 months use so people will natrurally be concerned if the reason is car related...

I understand that Nik, but it feels like this post should belong in an "interrogation" sub-forum, what with users trawling through any past posts i have made and commenting on them. All I
Posted

Im afraid, that users of this forum will look at your previous posts to see if there were any problems with the car, we only asked the questions that prospective buyers from this forum would ask.

Its not an interogation, just genuine questions.

As with anyone that sells a galaxy on here, you will find that previous posts have been looked at, questions asked to see if any previous problems have been dealt with, etcc...

all we wanted to know, was why you were selling after only 4 months of ownership when you stated you would be keeping the car for at least a year.

so please, do not think that we are picking on you.. if we dont ask..then someone else will.

Thats why, if someone sells a galaxy on here, we can SEE what problems, if any, how dealt with etc... so will know more about the car than if going to buy one from someone off the street.

Agreed, and the Forum is a useful tool for checking the history of owners and their cars. But there is also a danger of incorrect information being quoted. A post has been quoted in this topic from a time when I owned a different

Galaxy.

If a prospective buyer or forum member wants to ask about the history of a car then fine. But trawling through past posts and quoting them can be miss-leading.

Your posts and comments have at least created some interest in the topic. Whether or not I am able to sell the car at the right price in the current economic gloom remains to be seen.

sorry, but the only galaxy you have posted about, is your MKIII.your wait for it, and after you had got it.. the rear quarter window. and you said yourself the car is only 4 moths old, so i cannot see where ther misquote has come from, nor can i see any posts to do with a different galaxy.

I see no miss leading, i see no trawling in order to misquote, we all check history on the forum of a car that is advertised on here.None of us wants to buy a while elephant and it is MY JOB and the moderators jobs to ensure that in ANY posts, there is no come back on either the Admin or Mods, and if a car is sold on here that WE KNOW has been mis represented, than who do YOU think gets the flak??

Yes you are all reponsable for what you post, but it is OUR job to ensure that posts are not misleading , inflammatory, etcc...

I post this in my role as ADMIN!

do you want a spade???

Finally i get to collect the car on Wednesday, nearly 5 months from order date. It's my first Galaxy so hope it is worth the wait. Hope you other guys get yours delivered soon to.

you stated in your post in this thread, that you were on about a different galaxy that you owned, yet here.. a quote from one of YOUR posts, that the MKIII you ordered was your first Galaxy!!

read the bold type.

you contradict yourself.

Is this all really necessary. Yes you quote me correctly, it was my first mkIII and i took delivery back in December. The car i advertised was registered in June, 4 months old. I have owned 2 MKIII.

Spade not neccessary!

Posted
why are you willing to have taken a big hit on it if not both the mk111 youve owned?
Posted

Thanks for your comment maz, i should probably get a spade anyway, never know when i might need one.

Greggers, if i sell at the right price then i wont take a hit. I get them at a good price. I'm selling early before i start to lose.
