quick one.. is it true that if you drive a tdi hard over a distance (motorway) then road driving straight after the dmf can slip due to heat & friction...

I drive an average 150 miles motorway every day then go "urban" for around 10 miles but I haven't noticed any slippage as yet -

I use to drive my gal about 1000 miles aweek when i owned it a mix of motorway and urban. The dmf never use to slip allthough after 3 years of this mileage the dmf needed to be replaced (170000 miles tho). I bought a brand new one for

and if it makes a tapping noise on start up which goes when engine is revved. It's fcuked ! Oh forgot to say the tapping noise can come back when idling and may go when clutch is depressed.

Gwd no.... if my car is supposed to have one..then it aint there.....

 

I have a stock as i was prescribed them, then found i couldnt take em unless i wanted to be a walking zombie that was falling asleep at the wheel...The shock of finding out id been married to a twerp sent me spiralling down into such a funk as i couldnt believe that id married a numpty who didnt even know that the engine in the gal wasnt made by ford!1 i mean, i tell yer...what a pleb not to know it was built by VW.LOL.

just to add...this is not my vw bus mine in perfect working order thank god...im asking for a mate who has no net so cant use these forums...also there is nothing wrong with his its just what he got told believe it or not by fraud dealer....thanks anyway...
